Since I was a child I am very much exposed to ukay-ukay clothes. We call it SM meaning Segunda Mano or wagwag. As I remember, there are not so many stalls then. Instead we go to a house where you can find tons of clothes. Patience is really needed to find great clothes and the smell can really cause headache.
When I went to Baguio to study for college, I was happy to find many stalls selling Ukay ukay. Some of them are located at the back of the building or undergrounds. This is where cheap clothes, bags, shoes,and accessories can be found. Some of my ukay ukay treasures are still with me. After 10 years my ukay ukay bags still looks the same as when I found them. Quality really last long. Every item that I buy I feel satisfied for paying small cost for quality goods.
Here are sample of my bags. As you can see one of them is Hello Kitty. 2 years ago I bought a celine bag after 1 year of using I kept it with my Hello Kitty bag; after 1 year the celine can no longer be used because it's leather has feaded unlike the Hello Kitty it still looks great.
